Terms of Service
Last updated 9 September 2026
By using TaleCompiler you agree to these terms. If you do not, please do not use it.
What this is
TaleCompiler turns a script into a story you can read and interrupt. When you speak to a character, the reply and any changes to the lines that follow are written by AI language models. They are generated text, not authored text: they can be wrong, out of character, unoriginal, or occasionally objectionable, and they are not reviewed by a person before you see them.
The service is in alpha. It may be slow, break, lose data, change without notice, or stop. Do not rely on it to store anything you would be sorry to lose.
Your account
You may read anonymously. Signing in with Google creates an account you are responsible for. Anonymous sessions and everything in them are deleted about 30 days after they stop being used.
Scripts you upload
You keep every right you already had in what you upload. You give us permission to store it, process it into a playable story, and show it to the people you choose to share it with — nothing more, and only for as long as the story exists on the service.
You promise you have the right to upload it. Do not upload work that is not yours to use, whether that is a copyrighted script, someone's private writing, or personal information about other people.
Generated lines
We claim no ownership of the lines produced while you read. Because they are generated from a source script by third-party models, the rights in them depend on the rights in that script, and they may not be original. Treat them accordingly if you intend to publish them elsewhere.
Using it fairly
- Do not use it to produce unlawful material, or to harass anyone in a shared room.
- Do not attempt to break, overload or circumvent the service, including automated access and working around usage limits.
- Model capacity is finite and shared. Heavy automated use may be blocked.
Ending it
You can stop at any time and ask us to delete your account at crystal.ho@talecompiler.com. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, or a story that should not have been uploaded.
No warranty, limited liability
TaleCompiler is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from using it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
